Automation

Recipes that robots can follow.

An automation recipe is a saved routine for a robot. Teams write one, test it, and share it so the next team starts from a working version.

Every recipe has three parts

When

The trigger. A schedule, a sensor reading, a battery level, or a button.

Then

The steps, in order. Each step is short enough to test on its own.

Stop checks

The conditions that halt the routine. They are written first and read before the steps run.

Example recipes

Recipes are illustrations for this preview. They are not tested on a real robot. Records are contributor-supplied and unverified.

Tie a recipe to a robot record

A recipe works best next to the robot it runs on. Each robot has a record in the Robot Information Registry, and its ID is RIM # + serial from the manufacturer.
